Two Narrow Lengths of Kasuri Dyed Cotton: Checkerboard
$45.00 USD
early to mid twentieth century
each piece: 40" x 8", 101.5 cm x 20 cm
This is a charming pair of indigo dyed cotton kasuri cloth that has been dyed in the ichimatsu or checkerboard design.
The cloth itself is in bright, used condition and was probably taken from a yukata or an unlined casual kimono.
Checkerboard kasuri cloth is something fun to come across and this set of two is in fine condition and is a good example of this charming pattern.
