An Old Handwritten Book: Cord Binding

late nineteenth, early twentieth century

This book is made of hand made paper and it is bound with simple cording.

About half the pages bear some kind of vertically-oriented writing which indicate this book held the accounting of lists or inventory. Half the pages are blank and there are some worm holes eaten through the pages, not uncommon in these old books.

Lovely--and very usable for many projects.
