An Early Showa Length of Plaid Cotton: Patched
$45.00 USD
ca. 1930s
62 1/2" x 13 1/4", 157.5 cm x 33.5 cmÂ
This is a very handsome length of hand loomed cotton, a large-scale plaid, that is shown in colors of rust, black and beige.
This panel was undoubtedly taken from a futon cover and this style of plaid was seen quite a lot in the early decades of the twentieth century.
There are five, hand applied patches to this length, the cotton of the base cloth being in good condition and lightly starched.
