Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a handsome zokin which is sewn from recycled, pieced, plaid cotton cloth which has been sashiko stitched in a loose, regular grid pattern.
One lone patch on one of the two sides of this zokin add visual appeal.
Just wonderful.
