A Patched Orange and Red Colored Boro Fragment: Irregular Patching

This scrappy, long cotton boro fragment shows a beautiful palette of orange, coral, red and pink colors in various saturations and intensities.  These colors are punctuated by the red color of the thread used to stitch the patches to the cloth which shows ingrained dirt from wear.

Still, this is a vibrant and wonderful looking length of boro cloth, quite unusual for its tight range of red and orange tones, and really beautiful for the placement of patches and the way they are layered.

A simple, good looking and slightly unusual length of mid twentieth century boro, this one is a fine addition to any collection.
