Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a very handsome zokin which is sewn from recycled cotton
cloth, probably about two or so layers in all. The pieces of cloth which are hand stitched together are a machine-aided kasuri cotton, a floral pattern, with a very nice, small hand applied patch.
Graphic and appealing.
