This is a small piece of old katazome cloth which shows an elaborate design on wonderfully hand spun cotton yarns.
The faded piece is irregular in shape and really beautiful in its resisted design which is based on roundels that are crammed with a fancy array of motifs and images.
A wonderful fragment of quite old katazome cotton.
