A Small Indigo Dyed Cotton Boro Fragment: Good Threads
$30.00 USD
ca. late nineteenth, early twentieth century
25" x 13", 63.5 cm x 33 cm
This is an attractive little piece of old, hand loomed, indigo dyed cotton boro cloth.
The indigo color is strong and clear; the length is composed of two pieces that have been hand stitched together. The boro cloth has been patched with six cotton fragments and the overall cloth is a bit variable in weight: it goes from an almost-threabare to a robust weight. There are two prominent holes, shown in the accompanying detail photos.
Just lovely.
