A Short Length of Handwoven Cotton: Beautifully Colored

Although very humble in appearance, and in spite of the fact that the computer screen cannot capture the lovely hand woven quality of this hand spun, indigo dyed cotton cloth, this is a very beautiful length of old cotton.

The blue color is luscious, and this fragment is rich in ito aji or thread flavor, which indicates to the Japanese that this is a good, old length of hand woven cotton.
