A Pair of Pale Colored Zokin: Tone on Tone
$22.00 USD
ca. mid twentieth century
larger zokin: 13" x 6 1/2", 33 cm x 16.5 cm
Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a very handsome pair zokin which is sewn from recycled cotton cloth, probably about two layers each. There is a pale blue figured cotton along with a kind of terry cloth cotton zokin which completes the pair. Some staining and wear.
Hand stitched and appealing.
