A Length of Woven Striped Cotton: Low Contrast and Indigo Dyed

This is a length of hand woven, striped cotton, the wide stripes are dark in tone with little contrast between them.

The colors of the warp-based stripes are deep blue, medium-dark blue and a red color which has been toned down by the indigo weft yarns which give an overall consolidating rich hue to the entire length.

The cotton is fairly thick and the length has been starched. It is seemingly lacking in flaws and is in good, used condition.

A subtle beauty.
