A Length of Stitched Shibori: Deep Indigo Tones

$75.00 USD

early to mid twentieth century
38" x 13", 96.5 cm x 33 cm

This is a length of deeply toned indigo dyed cotton shibori, the unusual pattern is made by stitching/resisting the cloth to create rows of tightly-packed circles.

In between the rows of circles are bands of two-toned indigo dyed cloth, an attractive foil to the undyed areas.

The entire composition is clean and neat; the color is forward and the design is captivating.
