A Length of Checkerboard Kasuri Cotton: Partial Width
$35.00 USD
mid twentieth century
39 1/2" x 10 5/8", 100.25 cm x 27 cm
This is a length of the always-charming-to-look-at kasuri cotton cloth that is woven in the checkerboard pattern.
The length is not full width which means it was once used in some sort of domestic application, either as a yogi (kimono-shaped duvet), a yukata (an unlined casual kimono) or some similar thing.
The condition of the cloth is good and used and there does not seem to be any obvious flaws or damage to it.
Always fun to see, this eye dazzler has a great deal of visual appeal.
