A Length of Blue-on-Blue Katazome: Bold Pattern

This length of blue-on-blue katazome shows a bold pattern of clusters of ivy leaves set against a background of wide, trailing arabesque.

Because of the tone of the color used for the blue background the length has a luminous quality. The cotton is machine loomed and is fairly lightweight. The length is missing one of its selvedge edges.

The length is in good, used condition and is really lovely for its rich color and its bold, traditional design.
