A Large Plaid Zokin: Interesting Stitches

A zokin is a traditional Japanese dustrag which is hand stitched using repurporsed cloth. Zokin were often made in groups, so very often you will find batches of similar types coming from one home.
This zokin is fairly large and it is stitched from about two or layers of hand loomed cotton. It is stitched in an interesting pattern, concentric lines that follow the perimeter of the piece until they narrow and disappear at the center of the zokin.
A very handsome old traditional dustrag which certainly can be used in the home as an accessory.
Lovely.
