Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a good-sized and very handsome zokin which is sewn from recycled cotton cloth which has been beautifully sashiko stitched in a network of crossing, slightly undulating diagonal lines.
The stitching is beautifully executed. Just wonderful.
A very good looking zokin with a lovely composition and good color.
