A zokin is a traditional Japanese dust cloth that is traditionally made of recycled or left over, re-used cloth.
In this case we see a layered and stitched zokin which is made of rustically dyed indigo cotton katazome cloth whose pattern is that of fairly large well cover design. The irregularities to the dyeing of the cloth is delightful as is its mismatching of seams.
Just delightful.
