Three Narrow Lengths of Complex Shibori Cotton: Arimatsu
$85.00 USD
early twentieth century
each, approximately: 46" x 7", 117 cm x 17.75 cm
Shown here are the collar portions from yukata or unlined, casual kimono that are dyed in two different shibori techniques.
The two lengths on the left are done in what is called the yanagi or willow pattern while the one on the right is the hinode or sunrise design. Both these designs/techniques are complex and not easy to achieve and therefore they are desirable types.
There are many applications for this strong trio of good quality shibori.
