Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a small-sized and very handsome zokin which is sewn from recycled, pieced, dark green colored cotton cloth which has been beautifully sashiko stitched: over the entirety of the surface of this cloth is a dense network of dense sashiko stitching: the stitching is beautifully executed, creating a rich texture.
Just wonderful.
