A Length of Boro Cotton: Sashiko Stitched and Diagonal Patch

This is a lovely length of boro cloth, comprised mainly of hand woven cottons dyed in indigo.

The length on top and bottom is two layers thick; the center band is without a top layer and shows the base cloth.  

There are are six patches in total, the most eye-catching one being a dark, blue patch that is set at an angle, however the cloth's other patches are in beautiful color and tone contrast to the base cloth and are quite noticeable.  The stitches that attach the patches to the base cloth are long.

The overall color is beautiful: deep blues and greys.  Pay special attention to the bottom portion of the cloth and notice the fanciful mending stitching that plays on the surface: just lovely.

A very handsome, indigo dyed cotton boro cloth, with a great deal of visual appeal.
