An Indigo Dyed Cotton Sakiori Length: Beautiful Color and Weave

This length of blue toned sakiori cloth was woven from a weft of shredded rag which is easily seen by looking at the selvedge of this length. Because the top and bottom are unfinished it seems likely that this was cut from a longer piece.

The selvedges really show the rag content of the weft and, furthermore, they show the color and rag composition very well.

The piece itself is in good, used condition with no apparent flaws or damage. It is a beautiful length with a kind of muted blue color and it is a very good example of old rag woven cotton cloth.
