A Long Panel of Plaid Cotton: Scattered, Spare Patches

$75.00 USD

early twentieth century
73" x 12 1/4", 185.5 cm x 31 cm

This is a generously sized length of blue-on-blue plaid cotton cloth that is hand woven from what seems to be hand spun yarns.

The indigo tones are rich, warm and deep and the plaid pattern is of a medium-sized scale to the length.

There are about six indigo dyed cotton patches hand stitched to the surface, fairly evenly spaced which create an interesting visual foil to the background pattern.

There is a bit of missing selvedge to the right, top side of the length but otherwise the length is in good, used condition.
