A Striped Cotton 'Apron': Open Back with Ties
$85.00

ca. mid Twentieth century
32" x 44", 81 cm x 112 cm

This is an adorably homely little garment: of hand woven striped cotton, this workaday apron shows the Western influence on Japanese clothing: note the elastic sleeve cuffs and the lovely 'ruffled' bottom hem; the piece is sewn by machine.

Certainly worn by a small person, this humble garment could use a little mending here and there, but, for the right person, it could be a lovely thing to wear to do housework or to cook.
