If a boro long work coat, or nagagi, could be considered 'classically beautiful', this one is just that.
Beautifully patched and mended all over, this is made of gorgeous hand woven, indigo dyed cotton. The stitches used to mend and to apply patches are wonderfully eccentric and carries forth a feeling of immediacy. There is a lovely, unintended balance to the application of the patches, front and back, should someone want to finally add a boro garment to their collection, this is a good first choice.
Very much recommended.
