A fine cotton boro filled with kasuri (ikat) patches and some very fine and wide shima (striped) patches all over with a koshi (plaid) patch or two. The base is a kind of pale coral and blue check, very nice hand on the homespun cloth, and a handsome color combination. Some stains throughout the piece, but the bold contrasts between the kasuri and shima patches against the soft checked background lend visual interest. A good example of a boro textile.
