A Very Wide, Beautifully Colored Sakiori Obi: Muted Grey, Pale Blue and Lavender
$95.00

ca. mid twentieth century
119 " x 10 3/4", 302 cm x 27.5 cm

This is a really lovely sakiori obi, a kimono sash that is woven from shredded, recycled cloth.

The cotton warp yarns are a light grey color which lend a subtleness to the general color effect; the warp yarns of of purple, grey, blue and white.

The condition of this lovely piece is very good, save for one, small hole that is pictured on the lead photo to this set.  As well, there is a faint crease down the center of the obi, which results from the original owner having folded it before tying it around her body.

A really lovely example of sakiori obi.

Recommended.
