A Beautifully Colored and Textured Sakiori Obi
$90.00

ca. mid twentieth century
101" x 7 1/2", 156 cm x 19 cm

This is a beautiful, sakiori obi, or a kimono sash woven from shredded clothing and bedding--in this case it seems like there is a shredded silk weft woven against a dyed brown cotton warp.

The colors of the obi are really lovely and the way the weft is fed creates a mottled effect up the lenth of the obi.

Certainly this piece is a good choice for a home accessory, and its color and "free" pattern are really attractive.

Recommended.
